Instruction Manual for Travel Kit Asus Prime 5070Ti / 5080
Thank you for purchasing the Prime 5070Ti / 5080 Travel kit for the FormD T1 V2.1 or V2.5!
Please follow the step-by-step instructions below for a smooth installation. The process is straightforward and should only take a few minutes with the right tools.
Tools Required
- Phillips screwdriver
Included in the kit
- 1x Adapter plate
- 1x Anti sag bracket
*Important notes:
DO NOT USE THE GPU ADAPTER WITHOUT THE ANTI-SAG BRACKET
Step 1:
Start by mounting the travel kit backplate onto the case frame. For easier installation, slightly loosen the screws securing the motherboard frame to give it a bit more flexibility.
Step 2:
Install the screws according to the images.
NOTE! Don't overtighten the screws — just tighten them enough until you feel it's secure.
Step 3:
Prepare the GPU by removing the I/O backplate according to picture:
Step 4:
Mount the screws into the anti-sag bracket, prepare them by screw them down into position, then mount the bracket to the backside of the GPU.
NOTE! Don't overtighten the screws — just tighten them enough until you feel it's secure.
Step 5:
Begin installing the GPU by positioning it in the FormD case. If there isn’t enough clearance, the anti-sag bracket has some flexibility, allowing you to use it as support and gently push the GPU into place.
Note! For an easier installation, insert the four I/O plate screws into the travel kit bracket holes first. The screws are small, so placing them in position beforehand makes the process simpler.
Step 6:
Tighten the screws that secure the GPU to the Travel Kit bracket.
NOTE! Don't overtighten the screws — just tighten them enough until you feel it's secure.
Step 7:
Tighten the anti-sag bracket screws to secure it to the case.
NOTE! Don't overtighten the screws — just tighten them enough until you feel it's secure.
Whoop whoop!
You’re all set! The travel kit installation is complete. Don’t forget to reconnect the GPU power cables and the PCIe riser cable to their original positions.
